DESCRIPTION:Join the fun exploring Reading’s coolest indie shops\, cafes and venues in a treasure hunt adventure! \n\n\n\n\nJoin the Treasure Hunt around Reading’s Independent Businesses!\nReading Bike Hub are organising a scavenger hunt with other local businesses to raise awareness of some of the amazing venues our town has to offer. \n📅 Date: Saturday 25 April\n⏰ Time: 11:00 – 18:00\n📍 Location: Loads of fun venues around Reading \nTeams come to Reading Bike Hub to be get their a map\, do their first challenge and then navigate across the town to get as many points as possible. \nAt each location they have to do a task set by the businesses and will be rewarded with a stamp on their map.At the end of the day they have to return to the finish point\, teams with the most stamps in the shortest amount of time win. \nGet ready for a fun-filled day exploring the coolest local spots in Reading. This in-person adventure lets you discover hidden gems\, support indie venues\, have some fun and maybe even win some cool prizes along the way. Bring your friends\, follow the clues\, and enjoy a unique way to experience the city like never before. \nDon’t miss out on this exciting community event that’s all about fun\, friendship\, and local finds!

SUMMARY:Safe Streets for Everyone
DESCRIPTION:In the last 9 months in Reading 6 people have tragically lost their lives while walking or cycling. All were hit by a driver of a car.\nIn March alone there’s been 3 accidents where a driver has hit someone walking or cycling and changed their life.\nWe know there are so many people impacted by how our roads are dominated by cars\, from families to scared to walk to school\, or cross the road outside their houses for speeding cars. Wheelchair users who can’t get to Uni\, because their route to the bus stop is inaccessible due to broken glass and cars.\nWe know the answers aren’t simple\, that not everyone has the same problems but we think there’s a lot of people fighting as part of residents groups\, junctions\, cycle groups who all have a lot in common.\nPlease join us to walk\, wheel\, scoot\, skate from locations across Reading to converge at Forbury Gardens for a picnic\, connections and chance to share all our concerns and wants.\nOur voices matter\, and hopefully by coming together we can create a louder voice for Safer Streets for all of us.\nOnce we have a list of people involved we’ll set up a series of smaller events to celebrate people coming from various parts of Reading by whatever means of transport they prefer.
